About book When Giants Walked The Earth: A Biography Of Led Zeppelin (2008)

I loved reading about Zeppelin and having their music running through my head. I didn't care much for the writing though, particularly all the parts where the author tells the different member's pasts directly to said member. I found it confusing, ineffective and annoying (more and more so as the book went on). The great thing about reading it has been that even with having only listened to one album (Houses of the Holy) while reading it, their entire discography has been running through my head ever since. I'd immersed myself too heavily into Zeppelin biographies & didn't bother finishing this one. Seemed like all the same details were repeated in every bio I was reading on the band & I started getting bored! With my favorite band of all time! i guess i had assumed each bio would contribute something NEW or why write it. Unfortunately all these heavily quote each other to the point you read one, you've pretty much read them all.I actually bought Hammer of the Gods so I will force myself through that one eventually but for now I've had enough.

Do You like book When Giants Walked The Earth: A Biography Of Led Zeppelin (2008)?

A great intro to the world of Zep including an extensive background for each band member.

This was great except for the "dream flashback" passages that seemed corny at times.
