About book What Happened To Hannah With Bonus Material (2013)
It took me a long time to read this book, but once I started it, I could not put it down! McComas tells the story of Hannah Benson, a victim of child abuse whole fleas her abuser and starts a new life as a teenager. Twenty years later, she receives a call that her niece has been orphaned and needs a guardian. Hannah returns to the town where her abuse took place and memories come flooding back. We are taken along for the ride as Hannah relives the trauma, her first love and twenty years of family secrets. I very much enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone as a quick read. Oh I really liked this book! It was such a touching story of love and perseverance and 2nd chances. I liked Hannah immediately, especially when you saw glimpses of what she grew up dealing with. The fact that she made that choice to return to her home after 20 years, into a situation that made her uneasy and unsure. It showed what type of character she truly had. I liked Grady too, how despite all the time and changes he still held a special spot in his heart for Hannah. *SIGH* to have the opportunity to experience that one true, never ending, undying love; what a beautiful thing. I liked everything about this story, even the sad life poor Hannah and her mom and sister endured at the hands of their father/husband. All the years of suffering Hannah endured after leaving, thinking she'd done something wrong, that also influenced how she lived her life. Man, this was a really great story of pain and suffering and love and loss and redemption and giving in and letting go of the past and grabbing your future with both hands when the opportunity arises. I suggest this book to anyone who loves a great emotional story, but who also has the stomach for some slightly graphic scenes.

Very good book. Fluid story line & not too sappy.
