This was a very entertaining book and by far one of the best that I have read. It is a romantic suspense but if there was a category for action romance, I would put it in that category because it was action packed. Westin’s Chase is about Jared Westin and Lilly “Sugar” Chase. Jared is the leader of a Black Ops Organization named Titan that does covert missions for the United States Government. Sugar, a former ATF intelligence agent owns a weapons supply company called GUNS, and she supplies Titan with all of their weapons. When Titan returns from a seemingly successful rescue mission in Afghanistan, they learn that there was another person who was left behind that the government wasn’t aware of. That person was Sugar. Although there was chemistry between Jared and Sugar, they had never dated or anything. However, Jared moves heaven and earth to rescue Sugar and keep her safe. The team soon finds out that rescuing Sugar was just the tip of the iceberg. Sugar had been set-up to take the fall for some shady dealings being done by Titan’s rival GSI. Consequently, Sugar’s life is constantly in danger. As Jared and Sugar spend more and more time together, they begin a steamy love affair that neither one of them is sure will last. The banter that they share is funny and shows how much they are meant to be together no matter how much they try to hide their true feelings. But don’t be confused, there is enough bloodshed and gunplay to compensate for the romance.Of all the books that I have read in the past year, this is by far the best. It plays out like a good action/adventure movie. I hope that I can find more books like this one to read and I highly recommend it. Source: Personal Purchase The best of the Titan novels, in my opinion. The story is pretty fast and furious and gives you faith in love. Folks who appeared love-proof are succumbing. If you didn't know better, you'd think Cupid had shot them with little arrows. The stories also have a serious side and Harber does a good job with those, too. There are all kinds of casualties in war, and the protagonists find one. No more spoilers.
