About book Way I See It: A Look Back At My Life On Little House (2010)

This was a nice biography memoir, but it was lacking in personable stories. I understood what it was like for Melissa Anderson to be a child actor, but at the end of the book I felt like I knew more about Michael Landon than her. I really enjoyed the stories about her interview with Speilberg, and her decision to cut her hair. I wanted more of these stories and less summaries of episodes. I also wanted to know more about her life outside of Little House. I related to her, because I'm also a serious and shy person. I wondered if that was the reason Ms. Anderson came across as mean to her fellow actors...Arngrim and Gilbert, but she doesn't really talk about them. I felt she evaded any stories that could have cast her in a bad light, but she shared stories that revealed all of the flaws of Landon and Grasle. Overall, I did really enjoy the book. I just wanted more than she gave us. I'd give this 1 1/2 stars. I read this after reading Alison Anrgrim's book about Little House on the Prairie. Alison Arngrim did not have a favorable opinion about Melissa Anderson so I wanted to hear her side, so to speak. Unfortunately this book was boring and awkwardly written. Most of it was a re-telling of episodes from the eight seasons she was on the show with very little behind the scenes info. She tried to be funny but did not succeed much. It was a fast but boring read.

Do You like book Way I See It: A Look Back At My Life On Little House (2010)?

I did not like this book at all! It was mostly just scripts... It was not written well at all.

Sadly this one just didn't capture me like the Allison Angrim and Melissa Gilbert books.
