I was a very big fan of All the Colors of Darkness and this follow up in the Jan Darzek series filled me with hope but sadly I felt let down.At no point did I feel like this was the same character I'd loved in the previous story, he seemed like an entirely new character with the same name. A lot of this may have had to do with the different type of adventure not requiring a sci-fi version of the hard boiled noir detective.Of all the books I want to read right now this one was a bit of a waste of my valuable reading time.
