DNF @ 68%I'm kind of disappointed here because I was actually looking forward to this book. The plot seemed promising and Liam seemed like the kind of hero I might like. And everything was going fine with the book until Vivian and Liam started going through Vivian's list. The sex scenes left me highly skeptical. It's hard to describe but basically, some of Vivian's body reactions during sex were troubling, to me at least. I, personally, have never heard of a woman's sex tearing apart her underwear because of how aroused she is. Now, maybe I'm no expert with the human body, but this seemed far fetched to me. It reached the point where I enjoyed the book more when Liam and Vivian were flirting and bantering than the actually sex scenes. And then, Vivian's voice started boring me. Same thing, I can really tell what made it boring for me at some point to read her POV, but it did.I liked Liam's character though. It's probably because of him and the whole friends falling in love plot that made me read the book until the 68% mark.I really tried to keep going but I really couldn't stand Vivian's voice anymore and spend more time skipping her inner monologues and the sex scenes descriptions than actually read the book, so I thought "what's the point?" and gave up.Some people will probably really like this book and read the ones coming up, but I'll stop here. * ARC provided by the author for an honest review * Vivian’s list is very well written story about a couple that have known each other since they were kids. Vivian is 22 old, and for the most part alone. Her brother is in active duty in the Middle East, her parents are gone, and the story starts with her being in a relationship with a verbally abusive boyfriend. Liam is her brother’s life long best friend who is home on a military leave. He is staying with Vivian while he is home. It is very clear that these two need each other. He helps her see that the relationship she is in is toxic. She breaks up with Brody, but the damage is done. Her ex took away all of her confidence, especially when it comes to her sex life. She writes a list of all the sexual fun things she has never experienced. Liam happens to come across it, and as he tries to talk her out of it, he is moved when she tells him she wants him to be the one to do those things for her. Not only does he give her “the big O”, but gives her his heart as well. The sex scenes are hot and steamy! They show the evolution of their relationship from just sex, to the two of them realizing they have always loved each other. The story ends with Liam and Vivian becoming a couple and the heartbreak of him returning to the Middle East. The good news is there is a second book to the series, Liam’s List, and we get to see how their love story ends.REVIEWED BY KELLY ARLIA FOR SUMMER'S BOOK BLOG
