Paranormal is not my usual genre, but I wanted to try it. A friend recommended Lara Adrian, and I thought this would be a good place to start. I loved how Savannah took all the changes in her life in stride, especially the not so normal. She trusted her feelings to guide her right to the side of her mate. Gideon took a bit longer but even broke rules to be with her. This was an enjoyable quick read, and I am now looking forward to the next book in the series. I have a lot of catching up to do. I received this book as a free book. I have been following this series for several years. Read and enjoyed each book as it was released and added to the Midnight Breed saga. This is a series about Vampires, but not the undead variety. It was so wonderful to finally get the story of Giseon and Savannah I have wondered many times how they came to be a couple. This novella is a prequel that takes us back before the first book. Before Lucan's story, fills in a few missing pieces of the overall backstory. Many thanks to the author for giving her fans the story for Gideon and Savannah at last. I will be most anxiously awaiting the next full length book in this series.
This book was not very long! It was short and sweet and I did enjoy it.
