What I liked: Vanzir gets interesting, Roz gets very interesting in a naked way and Menolly seems to be healing from all of her emotional baggage. Yeah for all of that! What bugged me: (1) How did Menolly get in the fray house? The whole "vamp can't enter unless invited" construct has been well set up, yet she traipses around with nary a pause through a demon and a frat house. What gives? A Frat House is NOT the same as a motel-it is not a public building. (2) Camille's inconsistency is annoying. Her language is all over the place. I find it odd. This was the sixth book in the series, you are seeing Menolly's perspective in this book. This book had some strange twist, first off Iris and Menolly discover a diary of the old bartender from the Wayfarer and this starts an investigation into a missing elf. Then there is a ghoul in the woods, and a necromancer nearby causing all sorts of problems. Poor Delilah's getting leeched off, and that leaves just Menolly and Camille to try track down the source before it takes her soul permanently. All in all a good read!
Do You like book Vampirliebe (2010)?
Menolly is my least favorite of these sisters, but she's so wonderfully complex I just cannot.

Weird twists for Menolly in this one. The "society" of frat boys is a scary thought.
