This was neat. I've never read an anthology before, and I think this was a good one to begin with. I really liked the Ozioma and the Wasp/Bee stories, the Griffon and Death stories where a bit boring, and the Sunbird was really predictable. The Prismatica sounded really interesting, thought I was really confused throughout it. The rest of the other stories where's all that interesting to be, but they also weren't bad.Overall I think this was, again, a neat book, but not one I could see myself rereading. (Forgot to update this when I finished the book several days ago!) I don't read a lot of collections of short stories, but I'm glad I read this one. I picked it up because it had Neil Gaiman's name on it, but he only wrote one of the stories -- the others were selected by him, which is fine by me because he has cool taste in things like this. All of them were interesting and enjoyable to read. Some of course were better than others, but I liked them all. The first story was really quite creepy but cool (reminded me a bit of a certain thing in Doctor Who) and that was the basic gist of the entire book: some were less creepy, but still had an eeriness to them. This would make a great Halloween read!
Do You like book Unnatural Creatures (2013)?
The stories are superb, but as a whole they're a little too Just So.
