I had seen this book on a lot of posts from different blogs and I loved the cover, but never 1 clicked ONLY because every time I came across it, I had just bought more books that I didn't need! These are stories of BDSM, so if anyone is not comfortable with this, don't read. But if can give this a chance, it's a wonderful story. This is book 2 in the Isthmus Alliance series. Even though he has felt something for Holly since she was in the hospital, he tries to just bring out the feisty, charismatic person he sees in her. During this time, Holly finds a lot about giving yourself up to someone else doesn't mean you have lost control of yourself. And some pain can lead to pleasure in the hands of the right man.I LOVED this story. I so want my own Tommy Reed!!! I could so see giving myself up to a man like this 100%! And for Holly, I felt her sense of having no self worth and how could anyone LOVE her??? And if she gives herself to this man, one day Tommy is going to realize this and leave her. They complement each other wonderfully. I can't wait to read #3, Unexpected Consequences. This is the story of Zeke (Tommy's cousin) Jeff (Holly's therapist at one time) & Mary (Holly's attorney at one time). This description alone of these 3 people is enough to want to read!!!!!!!!!!Great job Sloan Johnson!!! Can I just say that Sloan Johnson I love you and your books!!! OMG where do I start??? Hmmm... I love love love UNEXPECTED PROTECTOR, I love Tommy and Holly. I love their relationship and how Tommy never gave up on Holly.. They were just HOT HOT HOT I could not get enough of them.. Tommy being the cop who saved Holly in Unexpected Angel. She is the BFF of Tasha and he is the BFF of Dylan and cousin of Zeke. Did I mention the 3 men are freaking sexy Italians!? I gotta say I love this little daydream of Tommy's, "HOLLY'S SITTING BESIDE ME WEARING NOTHING BUT A LONG PURPLE TANK TOP AND MATCHING PANTIES. I GLANCE OVER AT HER, WONDERING HOW WE CAME TO THIS PLACE OF DOMESTIC NORMALCY. SHE MOVES CLOSER TO ME ON THE COUCH,CURLING HER PETITE BODY INTO MY SIDE. I PRESS MY LIPS AGAINST THE TOP OF HER HEAD. IM GLAD YOU'RE FINALLY HOME,I WHISPER TO HER. I MISSED YOU. I MISSED YOU TOO, TOMMY, SHE COOS. HER FINGERS SKIM E LENGTH OF MY TORSO, AWAKENING MORE THAN JUST MY GROIN.
