I LOVED the characters in this book, specifically Tripp. I can completely relate to and appreciate his sarcasm. I enjoyed the slow but natural process their friendship blossomed into. I also like that there was never a romantic connection, necessarily, but instead a deep and profound soul connection. Thrumming... Ahhhhh... to be young and so misunderstood. I did not like how similar the ending was to If I Stay. However, I loved this book much more than If I Stay and had I read this one first I would have enjoyed the ending more. I am curious about Amato's other books and plan to read more of her work. This book was cute and a quick read. It is quirky and fun, not revolutionary or anything, but it's just a nice, quick story. I really only have two complaints, one Annie was quite a terrible best friend and two the car crash was cliche and predictable, but the ending was still cute and happy. So, basically, read it if you just want something that will make you feel a bit of joy. Tripp was quite fun as a character.

As a music person, I loved this book. To borrow a phrase from Mr. Odd, it resonated with me.
