About book Unbreak Me 2 (2014)

Review contains minor spoilers. Cally and Will's story was tragically beautiful of sorts. I learned so much about them and am glad to know them better. And who knew that Will and Christian Grey had so much in comon. There towards the end of the story it took a quick turn and went all Fifty Shades of Grey on me. I thought I might have transitioned into another book! Yeah... not so much a fan of that series now that I look back, but that's a review for another time.On to something else...Despite everything that Cally and Will have been through, there was light at the end of their dark tunnels. They both got the happy endings they deserved. For that I am glad. It's nice to have hope that no matter how terrible our pasts are...we can still find happiness in the future if we look and wait for it.The overall book rating for me is 4 stars and I wouldn't mind reading more of Lexi Ryan's work again in the future. :) I read the Novella Stolen Wishes which is the story of Cally and Will falling in love as kids, so I already a little about their back story. Seven years after their relationship ended and Cally moved away with her mum to Las Vegas. She has returned to New Hope after the death of her Mother to get her two younger sisters settled in with their unusual father. The first person she runs into is no other than her first love William. Everything about her says SEX. And MINE.~Will What has happened to her over the past seven years?"She may not longer be the girl I once loved, but she is the women I want"~WillAfter seeing Cally and the attraction between the two burns brighter than a super nova, William is once again enchanted by her presence and he wants her back in his life. This book is beyond beautiful pain and beauty twisted together perfectly. As I write this review, I am unable to stop the tears steaming down my cheeks. This story touched me deeply, the emotions poured from the pages. One of the subject matter dealt with in this story hit close to home. It reminded me that sometimes life can be extremely painful and situations can be forced upon you by means of desperation, manipulation and fear. When certain things fall upon your shoulders you just have to do what you have to do. Some of those decisions will leave life long scars but not everyone is given the rainbow and unicorns experience. I have to commend Lexi Ryan for writing such a raw and gritty story filled with beautifully painful emotions. The book is written from both Cally and Williams POV. Everything from writing to flow to the transitions of POV and Flash backs are stunningly perfect. All I am going to say is that every girl needs a William Bailey in their life, his love is unconditional. "A Choice made out of fear, is no choice at all"~William I will remember that quote as long as I live. Great story that highlights an issue that is VERY real and ACTIVE in today's society. 5 Amazing Stars Natasha xx

Callie and William were high school sweet hearts until Callie’s parents end their marriage and her mom whisks them away to Las Vegas. That all happens in the first book which I loved, but this one does beat it.Callie’s mom has passed away and now she was back in town to get her sisters situated with their father. She has a job and an apartment back home (Las Vegas) because she is all grown up now and out on her own. The only person that she doesn’t want to run into is the one person that she will always love, because she did the most despicable thing to him after moving away.William can’t believe his eyes or the pounding of his heart. He wants to hate her, he should hate her, but she once said “If it’s meant to be our paths will cross again.” She had been the dreamer of all things possible, but now it didn’t seem that she had dreams at all.Callie needed to resist William at all cost because what he didn’t know about her would soon surface and she’d have to leave again. Everything about him edged its way back into her heart. So when her husband shows up she can do nothing but promise to leave with him after getting her sisters settled in.The broken William reappears as her life unfolds into a controlled abusive mess. As if time could erase what would come for her, she explains everything to William and how everything is different not because she chose this, it’s because she had to do what she did to take care of her family. When her sister calls her crying from her husband’s hotel room she has only one thing to do.A little darkness all wrapped up in a heavy romance of what could have been. Read the story because my review just does not give it justice.
