Much better cover. Not fantastic but a definite improvement over the last one. Mmm, I love me some Kane. This book was even better than the first book. I loved that Whitney was a kick ass heroine too. I honestly loved them both. Together and separately and that doesn't happen very often. I would have given this a 4.5 if there would have been fewer flash backs (WAY, WAY too many) and the side plot with Whitney's..uh, family/issues was pretty crazy and I think unnecessary. There was enough plot here without that whole insane thing going on.There are enough hot sexy men here for quite a few more books and I can't wait to read each and every one of them. This is a great series for far.Oh and if you're curious, the sex is hot too :) 3 stars!Kane Grayson has a troubled past. The death of his fiancée haunts him and avenging her consumes his everyday life, the hunt for her killer taking up all his thoughts. Until he meets Whitney….Whitney and Kane have an explosive chemistry. There is immediate attraction which grows stronger throughout the book. Kane has experienced emotional trauma, therefore his scars are many, physically and psychologically. The road to a healthy, loving relationship between Whitney and Kane is not an easy one and I very often doubted it would ever come to that. I really felt for Kane, what he had to endure was horrible. Not only did he lose his love, but also many of his friends and the trust of the people he grew up with. Nonetheless, his behaviour towards Whitney was often borderline aggressive and rude, and while he is a very sexy man on the outside, I found his character to be quite unattractive. As already mentioned, Whitney and Kane have incredible sexual chemistry, but I had trouble feeling the romance. While the sexual attraction was very well done by the author, the romance got left behind. The reason I enjoyed the book as much as I did is because of the secondary characters. Kane’s friends in particular were all endearing, funny and really intriguing. I loved the banter between Basil and the guys and I’m very excited for Kessel’s story and hope that Zane, Whitney’s brother, gets his own book as well.Overall, I enjoyed Unbearable Guilt, but it was not a book I’ll be going back to. I’m looking forward to the following installments in the series, however, and what Emma Grayson has in store for us next.*A copy of this book was provided in exchange for an honest review*
