About book Una Chef A Virgin River (2011)

Harvest Moon starts the Night Hunters series with a BANG! The tension, sexual chemistry and fear are palpable!Harvest Moon was a pleasant surprise as a read. It started out with Jennifer running away on her eighteenth birthday to escape an untenable situation with a ruthless powerful and influential stepfather. It picks up with her living a new life as Dawn Garrett in Goosemont, a backwoods community that suddenly has some type of serial killer stalking beautiful young women, and during the early investigation her best friend disappears. The FBI are actively working the case and Dawn has to be very careful of how she reacts so as not to have them looking into her background. The most observant of the FBI men Jase Byrnes isn't really FBI; he's a paranormal hunter looking for the werewolf who is killing in this small town. Dawn and Jase have an immediate connection and both are hiding who they really are. The tension, sexual chemistry and fear are palpable as Dawn unknowingly is being stalked by the werewolf. Jase saves her the first time the werewolf tries to attack her, but has to go underground as this werewolf is too smart to be easily caught. Dawn is still being stalked when Jase leaves. I haven't read a book in years that kept me on the edge of my seat as I read, not knowing when the werewolf was going to strike. I couldn't put this book down and I gave it a 5 out of 5 start rating as Helena Shaw is an author whose books I want to continue to read. The Night Hunters is a new paranormal series that covers the paranormal genre, not just werewolves. I look forward to reading the next one in the series. 4 STARS"Puttering in Jill's garden and cooking with her heirloom vegetables is wonderful, but Virgin River is a far cry from San Francisco. Kelly's starting to feel a little too unmotivated.until she meets Lief Holbrook. The handsome widower looks more like a lumberjack than a sophisticated screenwriter - a combination Kelly finds irresistible. But less appealing is Lief's rebellious stepdaughter, Courtney. She's the reason they moved from L.A., but Courtney's finding plenty of trouble even in Virgin River.Kelly's never fallen for a guy with such serious baggage, but some things are worth fighting for. Besides, a bratty teenager can't be any worse than a histrionic chef - right?" (From Amazon)I love the way Carr portrays teenagers - very realistic for sure - and the way she handles relationships between them and adults. I really like Kelly and Lief!
