We meet Danica Snow, a therapist in a small ski town, whose path crosses with Blake Carter - aerobatic skier turned ski shop owner. When Blake accidentally bumps into Danica while they wait in line for coffee, his apology seems sincere, but his wandering eye let's Danica know he's a player. While neither can get the other off their mind, Danica steers clear of him so that she isn't another notch in his bedpost, and Blake just wants to have fun...An unfortunate incident causes Blake to take a hard look at his life, and question many of the truths he was once certain of. While mourning the loss of a good friend, he seeks out the help of a therapist, and here Danica and Blake finally come face to face. The consummate professional, Danica puts her attraction for Blake aside while she helps him through his darkest days. In return Danica finds Blake's quest to live a meaningful life inspirational. While she knows her work is beneficial, she has drifted from her lifelong goal. Blakes willingness to face his shortcomings gives Danica the courage to take the road unknown. An enjoyable read. For myself, this would have been a four star review had the arc of the story had deeper exploration, as much of the subject matter is serious in nature. This would NOT stop me from reading book two in the series.
Do You like book Un Bacio Sotto La Neve (2014)?
I'm only admitting to reading this because I want it to count for my yearly reading.
