I have to say I was pretty disappointed in Chelsea's latest book. I liked the premise of the storyline, but found her usual story-telling prowess was missing. In her other books, Chelsea Handler has her (charming) crass humor mixed with moments of brilliance that were lacking in "Uganda Be Kidding Me." I didn't find the story all that funny or compelling (Chelsea's own story-telling requirements). If Chelsea writes another book I will certainly read it in hopes that there are more along the lines of "Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang" or "Are you There Vodka... It's Me, Chelsea." So here it's late October and I'm not even half way to my reading challenge goal, which I already lowered by 15 books due to a summer frittered away watching "Real Housewives of Orange County." I needed a quick win, and since I've been in Appalachia for close to a month I thought I could use a laugh. Well honey, it ain't to be found here. Not funny, not well written, barely edited. Back to the real books.
Do You like book Uganda Be Kidding Me (2014)?
Didn't capture my attention at all, and I loved many of her other books.
