About book Two Gentlemen Of Lebowski: A Most Excellent Comedie And Tragical Romance (2010)

"Whither the money, Lebowski?"The only complaints I have about this play is that the footnotes contained a couple of groaners and the author was a little liberal with some of the worn Shakespeare quotes. Other than that though, this was a great idea and the execution was pretty damn near flawless. I would recommend this to almost anybody, certainly any Shakespeare fan, lit nerd, or, as they say, "Achiever." I found this book to be nothing short of hysterical, and the fact that it is done completely in iambic pentameter in period correct prose is quite impressive. This book follows the film the "Big Lebowski" to the letter, but it is done to the tune of Shakespearean prose. The side notes which describe the period correct language are almost as funny as the story itself. Fans of the movie will love this book, but that is assuming they also like to read Shakespeare. I have to say that "the Dude" would certainly abide, or in the case of the book, "the Knave".

Great idea incredibly pulled off. I did not expect to like this as much as I did. (read: 2013)
