This was a book in the Alex Delaware/Milo Sturgis series, but not really. They were scarcely in it. Instead it focuses on two new characters, brothers we met in the last of Kellerman's books. One is a PI and one is a homicide detective, now under Milo. These guys are both more likeable than Alex is, so i was glad to get to know them. I liked the little parts that explained their history. The story/mystery itself was sad, as usual, and moved along at a good pace. I wonder if this will spawn a new series, or if they'll all just work together in the future. A good, solid read. I have enjoyed other Kellerman books but this one felt like I was wading through knee deep slush. Couldn't quite get to a point where I felt like the reading was easy. I liked the story line and the two opposite brothers but it seems there was a lot if rehashing the same info and conversations. I love the Delaware series. I do want to try another one with the brothers in it to see if it is just me I've whether that set may not be something I can read with feeling like it's work.
Do You like book True Detectives (2009)?
I had a hard time with this one - too many characters to keep my interest and attention.
