If you have read Temporary Bliss (Bliss #1) you will remember Kate, Mac's bestie. Kate had a bad experience with an ex BF when she found out he was cheating on her and it really left its mark on her, leaving her with trust issues with men.One night when Mac & Kate were out drinking Zander (one of Mac's ex FWB's) gave Kate a ride home. Something happened that night and it confused Kate, leaving her feeling a bit unsure of herself around him. Zander is one of Mac's ex FWB's and is very attracted to Kate. He is a rookie cop by day and a stripper by night. He is drop dead gorgeous and a body women drool over. He wants to get out of stripping and find a girl who he can have a relationship with. Meanwhile, Kate thinks that it is time she met a nice guy, which will hopefully lead into something more. She signs up to an online dating website but doesn't seem to have much luck on there either, apart from one guy, Nightdancer23. Chatting to him just seems to be easy and she really looks forward to getting his messages.Zander has his sights set on Kate and with a little help from Mac they find themselves thrown together. Can Zander finally open up to Kate and tell her what he really feels for her? Will Kate let herself be open to love again?I really loved reading about Zander, he is so in touch with his emotions and is such a sweet swoonworthy guy. Loved this book! I'm having a hard time writing a review for this one. I didn't love it or hate it, I just feel kind of indifferent. This one didn't make me laugh as much as the first one. Kate was a much better heroine (I didn't like Mac in the first one), but overall it was just ok for me.I did have an issue with Zander. The fact that he and Mac used to be lovers, and the fact that Kate and Mac are best friends seems very weird. I just think that would be hard to get past. The conflict seemed a little forced, like they needed a reason to break up and this was the best the author could come up with.I did enjoy the bonus chapters at the end with Daniel (love him!) and Mac, very sweet.
