3-3.5 stars...This isn't the typical biker book at all, but I found it kinda refreshing. Maxwell Fisher is working undercover with the FBI tracking a MC called the Savage Sons. Moses Hall, who's father was the Prez, and now uncle is higher up, wants out of the lifestyle. He's tired of the drugs, hookers, and what the club has turned into. Moses approaches the FBI with the promise to work with them to take the club down.Max poses as Moses' Old Lady, and while working undercover, their relationship builds quickly. The story starts right off the bat with how their encounter ends, which sort of thru me. They have a great relationship considering, but the whole thing goes to hell. Good ending, but not!If you're looking for a Kristen Ashley or Madeline Sheehan..you'll be disappointed. It was a 'light biker book', but for me, it was exactly what I needed. WHAT!?!?!? Why would you do something like this to me?I HATE books that are deemed romance or something akin to it in which the main character dies. Like really dies. Not fake dies and then shows up months later, like "surprise I only died to throw people off my scent and now I'm in witness protection or have a new identity or whatever the hell" But like for the reals dies. That's not very romantic. AT ALL.So here's a book that is well-written. entertaining, and intriguing and has you really interested in what will become of the lives of these two people who fall in love and then BAM! yep, he's dead. Totally ruined this book for me. So yeah, 1 star and that's being generous cause I feel like I have invested my time and energy in getting to know these two and they do not have the HEA that you come to expect from a romance novel. Shit, even MC novels have HEA's. Even dark romances where girls fall in love with their sex slaver captors have HEA's. This is wrong on so many levels! No es bueno.
