I love books that mess up my head. This is definitely one of those books. Holy shit! What a ride! Again, this is another one of those books you kind of have to go in blind and experience for yourself, I am not going to giveaway anything in this review. Please be aware there is definitely some mind numbing, dark and possibly triggering scenes in this book so if that's something you can't handle you may want to skip this book.Looking at the beautiful cover you would think this a a sweet and beautiful love story, it's far from it. While I wouldn't classify this as a total dark romance, there is definitely some disturbing subject matter in this book. But there's also a sweetness to it too and that comes in the form of our hero, Madden. Oh don't get me wrong, he's a total alpha but that man has a sweet & sexy mouth on him.On to my rating! HOLY MOTHER LOVING CLIFFY! Seriously! I thought the shock of these cliffhangers would have begun to wear off, but damn! This one was a doozy. I need the next book NOW! I really don't want to wait.~ Erin, 4 1/2 Stars I really don't understand the high reviews. The love story portion of the book isn't believable. The premise of the book sounded so promising but fell short. There was so much unnecessary details that was quite annoying. How is she in witness protection without having to check in ever. The sex was boring. They made it seem like he was into kink but it's pretty vanilla. All in all, I didn't think much of it. Doubt I'll read the next one.
