About book Tout Ce Qu'il Voudra (2013)

HOT! HOT! HOT! It captured me from the beginning. I could not put it down and read it in two days. Also, it helped that I had a day off and it was a rainy day. Lucy DelaCourt was s temp who worked at Hamilton Industries. She was in lust with a stranger who rode the elevator. She had timed it perfectly so that they rode the elevator together; then, one day, he makes an unexpected move on her that had her coming with his deft fingers. On the same day, they share a tryst in the parking deck. Now in the real world, the elevator and parking deck interludes would have been deemed as sexual assault and rape; however, this is fiction and I love a good fiction, especially smutty fiction. I like Lucy DelaCourt. She is like everybody else in the real world--struggling to make ends meet. While attending college, she lost her parents and did not realize how deep they were in paying her way through college until she faced foreclosure. She dropped out of college and worked on temp assignments to try and save the house, but was unsuccessful. She stayed with an old classmate. But her stay was hurriedly becoming a nuisance. Her temp position with Hamilton Industries proved to be a blessing in disguise. After the elevator and parking deck interludes, she finally meets Jeremiah Hamilton, who was her elevator crush and sexually indulgent partner. He gave her an offer she could not refuse and the job interview called for her to lay on her front and have his way with her from behind. Who could blame her for accepting the offer? It was an offer of a lifetime. She was near destitute. The offer came with buckets of money. He draws up a contract and after dealing with her moral conscience, she signs her life away. Of course, the book is not about Hot Sex, Kinky Toys, Possession, Control and Dominance. There is low self esteem, dysfunctional family woes, a bitter matriarch, a black sheep of the family, murder/poison attempt, kidnapping, betrayal and the forbidden L (Love) word. Despite everything wrong with this book, I enjoyed it. I really did. In desparate times, there are desparate measures. It takes courage to do what a person has to do. With Lucy, she became the "personal assistant" of a billionaire, who showed her how sensual, sexy, beautiful she was. She delved and indulged in her own sexual fantasies with a man who wanted all that. The only person she ended up hurting was herself. She fell hopelessly in love with Jeremiah. This is a great book. I really enjoyed it. Thank you, Ms. Fawkes. I must have read some of this as a free download as parts of this I know I've read before (but I usually note them in goodreads so it was either very short or totally forgettable - and maybe both). I had a hard time getting into this one. It was steamy but I found the plot somewhat disjointed and the romance was giving me whiplash. I hated the abruptness of the ending - and yes, I recognize that cliffhangers are done to sell the next book in the series, but give me a break. If I get a chance to read the next one, I probably will but I won't be waiting for it or putting it on a wishlist.
