About book Todo Lo Que Se Sobre Novela Negra (2009)
Bueno. This is a history of the genre by probably the best writer of detective stories today. She begins with Wilkie Collins, Chesterton, etc and works forward describing development in the ingredients ( like point of view, setting. mood, characterization, voice, plot) and writing. Some authors bridge literary writing and purer mystery plot. Agatha Christie is an example of mostly pure plot. I learned about authors I have not read - a great plus.
