I'm was 4 or 5 when selena passed but I basically grew up listening to her music because my mum was obsessed with her as I was growing up. Naturally I'm obsessed too and of course I watched the movie and listen to her songs and even know some songs off by heart and I don't even speak Spanish. I am so grateful that chris wrote this book it has really given us selena fans the ability to see selena for who she truly was other then her as a performer and man I wish I could have met her. I envy anyone who had the chance to be near her and have her notice you. This book is incredible I got chills from reading the introduction and cried in the second last and final chapter and I have never cried from reading a book ever! It goes to show how much I am truly in love with selena (don't mean to be creepy) chris if you ever see this please know I am so thankful you wrote this book It was incredible and I know I will most likely read it again the same amount of times I've seen the movie and listen to selena y Los dinos music. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx RIP Selena After reading this book I realized how truthful and how authentic the "Selena" movie was.I first watched the movie back when I was an elementary student together with my family. Back then, I never really thought that the movie itself was an adaptation of the life of Selena. I didn't even know whom she was after hearing the song on the movie that I realized I knew some of her songs because I heard it on the radio frequently. Ever since then, from time to time I would listen to some of her songs and surprisingly last year I managed to watch the movie again for the 2nd time and surely it bring back memories. After rewatching the movie that I end finding this book online and last week I was surprised to saw the book on sale and without hesitations I immediately picked it up.I will never feel the same way hearing her songs again especially the songs "Dreaming Of You" and "If I Could Fall In Love" after reading this book because now it has so much attachment.Imagining now after reading this book 19 years after her unexpected death in 1995, what she'll be doing today if she was still alive? or How many awards/music she has accomplished? Sadly, that was cut short..Selena's life was shortlived yet she somehow managed to live life to the fullest.This book is amazing, we get to see the behind the scenes and the simple yet eventful days of the superstar in the eyes of his husband (Chris Perez).She really is a great loss.What a humble and unique human being..R.I.P Selena Quintanilla-Pérez.."Selena, I'm still dreaming of you."-Chris Perez
