i was not expecting that ending. having a chronic illness myself that loves to interrupt my life when I'm having a really good time made this book all the more relatable! i picked numerous quotes and added them to my blog. Liv was a character i would love to be friends with. Jeff i feel horrible for having lost two girls in the span of a couple of days. This book also reminds me how much i absolutely hate cancer. WARNING I GET V. DEEP :P.......................Okay. I started this book today and finished today.. This alone should tell you all to not let overlook this book!... I have to admit that I am soo confused though :/Even thought it is a bit of a cliché, it wasn't. I know it doesn't make sense, but never having read a story with this kind off plot, i was sucked in easily. That's why its hard to decide wheter to give this 4stars or 1!?..I feel like Livia is a good friend of mine now. I was happy that she found people who liked her for herself and that she stayed true to herself throughout the book (British and shy :3). The author created a beautiful character who started to inspire me. I think hat this novel will be forever etched into my mind.I got thinking after reading, If this wasn't a book but a real life story, would I be a better friend than Saira, Hannah Boo&Steph? Would Liv let me be there for her? I dont know. I felt like they werent there for her in her first near death scare and that they did not understand her at all. Then she met Krystina who at the caffe started to become a suspicious friend/b*tch (scus the language). When we got introduced to her I thought she would become a kind of role model to Liv on how to become more free.. she got WAY too free to my liking. All is well though in the friendship department as Liv's brother Jeff is just soo sweet and did not deserve the treatment of Krystina he got. Overall, friendships in this book kind of terrestrial. Now, the ending. I literary stopped in my tracks. My mouth fell open, i gasped in shock and mild grief, I dropped my Kobo and I think I stopped breathing for a bit. "Livia died in her sleep that night"... o.O... HOW CAN A TEENAGE GIRL'S STORY BRINGING SUCH HOPE END LIKE THIS!?I was shocked and disappointed on how the author ended the book like this because there is so much I would have like to have known. Like what will Adam do now, how will Jeff and his mum cope, will Krystina and Kyle feel some grief, will Liv's college mates be upset and do we see ANYTHING of Liv's dad!? Even thought this whole novell is beautifully writen, I felt like there was no paper for the author to write her last chapter in right. Going back after reading THAT line I read one of the most beatutiful conversations in my life. Liv and Adam clearly loved each other and it was sweet to know that they expressed their views to each other before the end.Kate Le Vann has a gift (I have concluded). This gift will keep me tear eyed through my exam period and hopefully beyond. All i know now is that it was a privellage to be able to read Livia's story. As you can tell I finished reading had a "WTF?!!? -.-" moment, then I got emotional and wrote this review. I noticed this twisting and turning makes Kate Le Van a compelling author with mad skills! I also just found out Tessa in Love, my all time favourite book, was written by Kate so I think im going to be in the fan club! :')... At the moment I feel like going on confused.com but that website isn't about confusion so I guess I've got to stick to chocolate ;)
