Do You like book Thin Ice (1997)?
Found this while scouring my cousin's bookshelf back in the province and this book, published in 1997, just went to show how timeless good books can be. Can you believe I actually let my self agree to the praise on its cover after finishing it - and that's really saying something because I abhor that word? "Riveting." Rrrrivetiiiing, more like. I wonder why there are lesser YA mystery novels written like this today - this is what we need: gripping, breathtaking, thought-provoking. The plot was already mysterious enough, but the pacing of the story made it more exciting. I just kept on rooting for Arden, agreeing with her belief that her brother wasn't really dead!Yay!s-Arden's best friends, Jean and Kady, were fraternal twins. Their greatest ambition was to be gypsies.-Scott's girlfriend Claire had a daughter, Hanna, who served as a great stress reliever for Arden. (That is, aside from Jace.)-Speaking of Jace, he was the first boy Arden kissed. He kept coming around to help her. I also rooted for them so bad but...Boo!s-... unfortunately, there weren't much swoony moments for them.-While Scott's reason for his disappearance was valid, I wasn't satisfied with it. Marsha Qualey could have built a more dramatic explanation.
