This was a great book! This book is actually the first autobiography that I've read that I can remember and I actually really enjoyed it! This book talks about Theresa Caputo and her life. Theresa is a medium from Long Island. She was very scared when she began to realize spirits were around her. She was a young girl when weird things began to happen and she began to sense spirits. When she was in school, Theresa would point out things she noticed around her but no one else knew what she was talking about so a lot of her "friends" thought she was crazy. Once Theresa got older, she began to get help from her mother's friend who apparently could also interact with spirits. It was after a few meetings with her that she realized that she was a medium but Theresa did not fully accept her gift until she was 31 years old. Theresa did not really like the fact that she could interact with spirits too much at first but after awhile she realized it was a gift from God and she became thankful. Theresa uses her gift to help others. She began by taking little steps because when she first started she was very freaked out by what she could do. But she got passed that and she now has a show on TLC called Long Island Medium, and she has meetings with people who have loved ones that have passed away and they would like to communicate with them one last time so they do so by going through Theresa. This book was very interesting to me and I loved it and I also love her show. Reading this book defiantly made me believe more in what she claims she can do. I definantly recommend this book to anyone who believes in this kind of stuff at all! This book reads like Theresa talks! Kudos to Kristina Grish who co-wrote this book to make it all sound like Theresa. I was pleasantly surprised how it deals a lot with spirituality, healing and life lessons. This is a great book for everyone especially those who aren't quite sure of the afterlife and those who have turned away from God. This could start you thinking about what will happen to your spirit or energy after you die.
Not a bad book, but not exactly what I expected. I am still going to read her next one though.
