Have you ever wanted a bit of drama with a mixture of comedy in your stories? Well in Then He Ate My Boy Entrancers by Louise Rennison you can have all the laughter and tons of drama you want. In this realistic fiction story you will hear about Georgia Nicolson’s drama she has with her friends and her enemies. In the story Georgia is left with the greatest news on earth (well for her at least), she’s going to Hamburger-a-gogo land (in other words, America)! She’s thinks in her head that for once her father had done the right thing in her life. But the catch was that they were going to America because her father wanted to see the car convention. They were going to Memphis, Tennessee. Since they live in England she’s really excited to go for spring vacation but sad that they were going to see a car convention. The real reason she’s dying with excited to go to America is because she likes the new Italian singer of a really popular band, Masimo. Masimo and she were friends and she found out that Masimo was going to Manhattan, New York in America to see his folks and right before he left he asked for her phone number when he bumped into her. She didn’t give it to him because she was too tired and red from working out. When she heard that he was going to America she felt sad because she wouldn’t be able to hang out with him and try to make him fall in love with her. When Georgia finally likes a guy she becomes insane. Georgia wanted Masimo and her to be together, but she had many problems in the way. So when Georgia heard she was going to America she decided to ask her parents if she can take her “bestest pally, “Jas because she was heartbroken that her boyfriend Tom was going to Kiwi-a-gogo land (New Zealand) for 6 months and of course he was coming back but she was just really sad. Miraculously both their parents said that Jas can go to America. Then when they got there Georgia the next day went to a store and asked to use the phone because she couldn’t use the phone in the hotel because all the call made had to go through her dad first. The employee gave her coins to use at the payphone and she called everyone in Manhattan with the last name Scarlotti because it was Masimo’s last name and she tried to track him down. Since there were a hundred people in Manhattan with the last name Scarlotti she decided to call a bus to go to Manhattan because she thought that Memphis and Manhattan were really close together. Soon she was back on a plane to England again and couldn’t track down Masimo. She was sad but later she had heard that Masimo was back and that he was going to perform at this place called “Late and Live”. She had called a meeting with the Ace gang (her friends) and decided to buy new shoes. She found the most gorgeous shoes ever but the only size they had was a size 4. She managed to squeeze her foot in the shoe and ended up buying them even if they were very painful to walk in. she and the Ace gang went and had a great time and Masimo ended up asking Georgia for her phone number again but she didn’t give him the number because she didn’t l=know whether or not to give it to him. She called a meeting in the bathrooms quickly because 1) She needed to take a seat because she needed a break with those size 4 shoes because they were making her feet swell up bad and 2) She needed to know if she should give Masimo her phone number or not. At the end of the meeting they all thought Georgia should give Masimo her number. When she went to give him her number she saw he already interlocked his arm with her worst enemy, Lindsey. She was devastated and thought he didn’t like her so she went home and went straight to bed heartbroken. She didn’t even take off her shoes because she was too sad, and her feet were so swollen she couldn’t take them off. The next day she tried to take them off but couldn’t, not even her mother. Her feet were so swollen she couldn’t even see her shoe straps. The doctor had to come round her house cut off her shoes from her feet. None of this was mentioned to her father they just told him she had the tummy bug. Surprisingly Masimo came to her house and asked her parents if he could take her out to dinner and her parents said yes. Finally the moment Georgia had waited for, dinner with Masimo. That day she was all dressed gorgeous and had a quick meeting with the Ace gang to see the dos and don’ts of her date. She had the best date ever and he actually liked her for her. She even got to kiss him! She felt like the happiest girl in the world and she got his phone number so she didn’t have to wait for his call. She later called him and he asked if she wanted to go with him, his gang, and Lindsey to this place he was going to. When she heard the word Lindsey she was confused! Did Masimo like her or not? She just put those thoughts aside and went to school. Since they were performing a play they had to rehearse with the Foxwoods boys because she was in an all girl’s school and the boys were all in an all boys’ school. She walked home that day with her friend Dave (Georgia and Dave had a relationship together one time but they decided to be friends) and he told her he still liked her. She was so confused with who she liked, her ex boyfriend Robbie, her exboyfriend and friend Dave, or the really cute and gorgeous Italian Masimo? She wanted to be in a relationship with Masimo but what would he say? What would he do? So at the end she got the courage that most girls don’t get and asked Masimo if he wanted to be her boyfriend. What he explained was that he needed a week to think! Who needs a week to think it’s whether you like her for her or you don’t. So confused and doesn’t know what to do, Georgia stays in her bed thinking and thinking with her cat Gordy eating her boy entrancers (other words her fake eyelashes). In the story I liked how the author made Georgia at the end of the story confused in who she likes. Now we can know who she really likes in her next story. I believe she is going to Masimo because she had been obsessing over him for months. Also I felt angry at the end because Masimo didn’t answer Georgia’s question. I know that he has to think about whether she’s right or not but the author could’ve given a few more pages to explain Masimo’s answer.I was really not surprised by the way Georgia acted in America because she is a very weird person. She was trying to be like an American but with her accent and her attitude she couldn’t do. She was surprised by the way the Americans acted. They acted really nice to her that she thought we weren’t the normal ones. My favorite part of the story was when Georgia tried to call from the hotel room phone the call went to her father because her father has that personality of trying to ruin something without intentionally doing it. Also I liked it because her father told her that he knew she was going to call her mates. I can related to her because when I want to do something and my mom can predict what I’m going to do, she prepares for it before I can even do it and she tries to put a stop to it.I give this story a 4 out of 5 because it has all the drama I want to hear and all the comedy I expect. But if I could I would add a bit more comedy to the story because it would be nice if the drama and the comedy were balanced out so that people won’t say “more drama” or “more comedy”. Then He Ate My Boy Entrancers by Louise Rennison is a very great fiction book leaving with questions that you will find out in the next book.
This book is about two amazing people named Georgia and Jas. Throughout this whole book Georgia and Jas went on a journey to Hamburger which is a Go Go Land. As they were on their journey they tried to find Masimo. Masimo is their Future Boat they always dreamed for. As one 1 week full past, Georgia did not come across or succed in getting her dreamboat. All she did was she learned how to ride a bucking bronco. It wasn't all that special but she still learned something. I can connect to this book because when I was on a Criuse traveling around the world. We came across a Island that was schdueled for the trip. It was called Honduras. As me and my family was their we was searching for my ancestor which I don't know the name of but his/her last name was yisagiare. We did not find him/her but I learned how to ride a Moped. A gas scooter. I recommend this book to people who ever put their mind to something and didn't succed to it but still got something out of the expierence. It will show you that even though you failed in your plan, you will still learn from that journey. I'll give this book a 5 because it taught me that everything you plan to do, it won't always happen and turn out the way you planned. But you will still learn how to do something on your way to complete your plan.
Fir my full review please visit my blog: http://shadowsireview.blogspot.com/20... 4.5 Stars This book is pretty funny, Georgia's continued attempts to woo Masimo have left me in stitches yet again. There are moments when you just have to sit there and wonder how Georgia has managed to survive, she's completely insane. Her Hamburger-a-gogo trip (holiday in America) is a laugh a minute, it's enough to make you question the sanity of her world. The characters are fab and marvy but I find myself wondering why Mabs and Jools are barely mentioned. We are mainly told tales of Rosie, Jas and Ellen. It would be nice to hear about the other two's [mis]adventures with boykind. Also when it comes to the holiday, Georgia's vati and Uncle Eddie are particularly hilarious. They're almost as good as Libby. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable book. I've read my copy quite a few times (and believe me, it shows) and I never seem to enjoy them any less. They're quick reads that make you want to read even more.

Georgia is again wrestling with romantic troubles, and this time there are three contenders: Masimo, Robbie, and of course Dave the Laugh. She's disappointed to find that her trip to America takes her nowhere near where Masimo is, and she gets to have a great time with her embarrassing family. Her friends at home support her ridiculousness and go to great lengths to give her romantic advice. (And by the way, "boy entrancers" are fake eyelashes. She is talking about her cat eating them.)It's more of the usual for this series, with new turns of phrase recurring with old ones, her lovely and ridiculous friends, and the glossary at the back giving American readers the context to understand some of the English and English-derived terms used in the book.
