This story was a bit of everything all rolled into one: renewed romance, steamy sex scenes, deep emotional complications, physical problems, and let’s not forget the mother in law from hell. Nick and Ari are both great strong characters and their struggles are made to feel so real. Ari’s continuous forgiveness of the Grace was annoying, but other than that character wise this story was spot on. There were a few open ended details that bugged me and dropped this down a star in my opinion. First of all the earthquake, that apparently only effected that building and no one ever discussed it nor was it a big deal to any other characters or even Ari’s apartment. The scene with Nick’s work colleague was meant to ease concern for the reader, but it ended up being random. There were a few other small details, but I don’t want to give too much away.This is a sweet romantic story about a second chance at marriage, a second real chance at a baby, and a second chance at having the family life they both wanted. The story wrapped up on the “aww that’s so sweet” note that makes me curl my nose, but it worked for this story. Not many couples get second chances. A good story about a couple finding each other again. They recognized the things that tore them a part although it took a building collapsing while they were in it for them to really talk to each other, but that was all they needed. And some sexy time on top of the lawyer's table didn't hurt either. April did a great job of capturing their story. The funniest line "All I need is 5 minutes alone with her." Cracked me up.
