Firstly, I must admit the author is a friend of mine, but that's not going to cloud my judgement. This is my favourite of the series so far, Lauren has again left me hanging.Love the way Rosa is maturing as the series progresses. How each relationship has more twists and turns. Heartbreaking storylines, that had me yearning for a happy outcome which wasn't always forthcoming. But interspersed with Rosa's dry, maybe even black humour. This book answered many questions left unanswered from The Wall, but has left many more unanswered for the fourth (and last?) installment. The Wounded, third in The Woodlands series, is a beautiful book. There were so many surprises in this one and moments that tugged at my heartstrings. A few times I was worried about which way Taylor was going to take the story, but I was never disappointed. The author paints a vivid image of this post-war world. It's gritty and real, but full of heart, too. I find myself anticipating the next book in the series.
Do You like book The Wounded (2014)?
Kind of a slow book but I enjoyed it. I really wanna know what happens in the next book.
