I thought that this book was very well written. I felt like I had to continue reading almost all of the time. The beginning of the book was confusing at first. The father I got into the book the more the beginning made sense. The end of the book I thought that it was good because everything that had happened and hadn't been answered yet was answered at the end. My overall opinion of the book is that it was very good. I felt like when it was starting to get boring it picked up again. At times I had a hard time setting down the book. I thought that by the end of the book that Griffin and Garrett would have been closer than they were. I figured that more of the beginning wishes would have gone wrong than did. Especially when she went up on to stage with Garrett and played the guitar, or something was going to be wrong with the baby. When the Grandma was in the hospital I thought that she was going to die. When the Grandma told her about the box at first I thought she was a wish stealer to but she was trying to stop Mariah from what she was doing. This book lured me in with its sparkly sparkly cover and said "come to me MAMA and read me." And that premise! Oh, that premise! Unfortunately...The plot didn't move that much, and when it did, it felt forced. It was boring (oh no! another case of BORING book, Kwon?) and yet when it did, I felt it was too fast. I know, contradictory. I don't know. But that's how it felt like. The characters? Griffin was bland, and the characters were all stereotypical. I didn't care for any of the characters, and I wish Trivas had delved more deeply into the characters.Also, Griffin was too ready to accept the whole Wish Stealer stuff.And there was a lot unexplained--like the Macbeth witches, and how Mariah figured out she was a Wish Stealer, and how that all concept worked. Maybe because I DNFed? But it was a little...I don't know. Out in the open.
