(2.5 stars)Wasn't absolutely captivating for me, though I believe the flow of poetic-like style could be honorable. I don't believe this is a genre I dabble in a whole lot, so that may be the reason for me zoning in and out as I read. I have to say that the end was very satisfying and the plot mostly original. What I like most of all: the author had a powerful way of describing complex details. (Also, I think the cover is simply gorg.) It was so short! That's why I checked it out in the first place: I wanted to see how quickly I could read it.This is Block we're talking about, so the prose is lovely. Everything else, however, fell flat, mostly because of the length. The real daughter thread, for example, was VERY undeveloped - it felt tacked on.Skip it unless you're practicing speed reading. Oh, but then you won't be able to enjoy the prose.
Do You like book The Waters And The Wild (2009)?
Not among the best FLB books in my opinion. Didn't make much of an impression on me.

I feel like we all have doppelgangers. I hope mine doesn't take over and kill me:(
