Rick runs amok, and our brave band of survivors turn out to be much better at everything than the ones they've encountered. Fortunately, Rick, like Nancy Drew, is always right with his hunches. Better living through hand weapons. I was pretty disgusted with this one. One, because Rick has completely lost the thread. He's become so obsessed with making all the hard choices that he's started to believe prophylactic murder is a good idea just because it sounds bad. Two, anyone who knows that domestic violence escalates should also know that it can't be blamed on the zombies (who've only been around for a year) and that separation is most likely get the victim murdered. Throwing someone through a window is cheap Hollywood thrills. It isn't good police work.Library copy. I must say I am enjoying the direction the comic has been taking the past couple issues. It's different and it seems more human. People are dealing with the consequences of their actions more and I'm really liking that. There seems to be more character development and thought going into what happens and how people react to it. I thought the ending of this was particularly good. It made a nice turn around. It feels like the characters are finally learning how to cope in this world. I wonder how long that will last.
Rick's cracking up again! Nice contrast between him going nuts, and Carl's scarey-calm stability!

Rick must be thinking "Just when I think I'm out, they drag me back in!!"
