Some of the information in this book is missing because it was still classified when the book was written. Alot of this information has since become public, either by our government, or another. It almost seems like it was rushed to be published after the bin Laden raid when the country was dying for information about what events brought about that historic event. By rushing to publish, instead of waiting for the whole story, there are gaps in the story, which is why I give this book 4 stars instead of 5. This was an audio book that I listened to. Written in a journalistic style concerning the story behind the death of seven CIA agents in Khost Afghanistan by a double agent that turned out to be still siding with Al Qaeda’s ideology. It is an adventurous book with a good reader—and one wouldn’t want to stop since it’s that thrilling. This story is a cautionary tale of how our intelligence agency can sometime be too impatient and step into problems. The author did a good job with the background of who some of these men and women were who lost their life. The most fascinating is the focus on the Jordanian intelligence officer who was of Royal blood that was also killed that day. An emotional work towards the end.
A long magazine article would have sufficed given the amount of details presented here.
