edit**I'm removing my one star in favor of no stars because clearly I'm missing something.._____________________how, HOW are the reviews for this book this good? I want to give it -100 stars. I also want to say that this is the biggest piece of shit I've ever read, but I won't because that's rude.. ahem. I think what was sent to my kindle must have been an alternate version of this book because no way in hell would this many people give it that many stars. I don't even know where to begin. I don't know if I can properly explain to everyone what is going through my mind while trying to read this. I'm not even going to write a review listing the ways this book was horrible. just take my advice and don't read this. thank God I got it for free on Amazon.. The series starts out with Faren Mitchell finding out she has an inoperable brain tumor and runs out into the street, only to be hit by Jared McKenna who is riding his motorcycle. The story then goes back to a month prior to seeing that she is a physical therapist who is trying to make ends meet and pay for her mother’s care at a clinic. Because money is so tight, she decides to become a stripper to gain extra money without having to give up her day job, or her identity. She finds out that this strip club is owned by no other than the gorgeous Jared or “Mick” as her refers to himself. Faren finds out that there is more money to be made by dancing in one of his more exclusive establishments. I have to say I liked Faren and felt for her with all she is trying to do with not only taking care of herself, but also her mother. We don’t find out why her mother is in a comatose state at a clinic, but that will surely be answered later in the series. Jared is a billionaire who is trying to make things right after he hits Faren with his motorcycle. This includes paying for her hospital stay. Since he has never seen Faren working at the strip club, he has no idea that she even works for him. He is still a mysterious enigma, and I can’t wait to see what else we learn about him in the series. This book ends with a major cliff hanger and sets up nicely for the next book. Because it was such a fast paced short book I give it 3.5 stars out of 5. For me there was just too much left unsaid.
