Words would never be enough to describe how disturbing, sad, captivating and wonderful this book was. When I first saw this novel, I already thought of it as something in line with bared to you considering this falls under the genre which was classified as dark erotic. However, I was wrong. This book stands alone. For the first two chapters, I was already intrigue about the flow of the story. The classifications of both main characters as a somewhat psychic nude painter and a miserable manic depressive male prostitute is already something you won't typically find in stories. In fact, this was the first time I read about a story of a male prostitute.Just a quarter of reading this story, I already got my heart broken more than once and it seems I can't seem to banished the lump that formed in my throat. For every chapter of the story, I found myself both in the verge of tears and cursing the evil characters of the story. I can't seem to decipher how cruel the world is for Lilith most especially for Finn and thought of this really happening in real life which I no doubt believe so.Even just a reader of the story, I had this urge to do something just to take away the pain they're suffering both physically, sexually and psychologically.I was so hooked up with this story that I so much as hope and anticipated that there will be a happy ending in this story because if there wasn't, I would feel really really sad and think how unfair the world is.So even if it wasn't the ending I expected, I was glad that they got to get away from the evils of Lady Arbermarle and Coyle. I can't wait for the book two. Wow. Wow. Wow. Absolutely amazing, nothing like I've ever read before, and has left a lasting impression on me; from the writing to the roller coaster ride that is this story. So looking forward to the second book, to have more Finn and Lilith; their healing process and journey forward. I hope there will be a reunion with all the families, i.e. Finn and Henry. My heart will stay with Finn for a very long time.
