Free download. This is a sweet story about the truth, and how it's not always a bad thing. Callie recently lost her mother, and is trying to mourn as best she can. She's a teacher and has always been honest, trusting and loving. When her mother's best friend calls to tell her something that will change her life forever, she stunned and angry at the revelation. After believing her father died when she was a baby she's hurt to find out that her mother lied to her and her father is none other than a billionaire senator who's about to run for president. On her death bed, her mother asks her friend to post a letter to Callie's father, finally telling him that he has a daughter and the reason why she never told him. Warren's first thought is to meet his daughter but his wife, Elizabeth, and step son, Dylan decide it's better for Dylan to see if this woman is actually Warren's daughter, but when he meets her, Dylan soon realises not only is Callie a true honest and sweet woman who doesn't want anything from them but he actually enjoys getting to know her. Callie and Dylan grow closer but will misunderstandings threaten their relationship before it even starts. I enjoyed this story, nice writing, story and plot, a little angst and some lovely romantic moments with a HEA and more books in the series. I enjoyed the characters and it's nice to see that they will also be in the rest of the series. Would recommend. Reviewed by KarinaFree read from Amazon, purchased by reviewerReview originally posted at Romancing the BookA simple yet endearing book.Callie lived her life knowing her dad died even before she was born. She lived through that lie until her mother died and a family friend reveals the truth that her father is indeed alive who is a Senator buying to be the President of the United States.A letter started it all. Warren Sherbrooke, Callie’s father, learned about his daughter’s existence. Now, he will find a way to talk to her and get to know her. But with all the media s eyes in him, he can’t afford to have the news break loose. So they decided, Dylan, Warren’s step son, to meet Callie privately to know if she has any ulterior motives.Dylan is a rich and handsome bachelor of the Sherbrooke Enterprises. Warren is like a father to Dylan so he decided that it’s best that he himself will take the matter seriously.I like that the author took time for the characters to spend time together and get to know each other. It’s not the love at first sight kind of thing but the attraction to each other is noticeable especially in Dylan’s case. The sexual tension between them is very wholesome. If you’re expecting some intense scenes, you will be highly disappointed. Although for me it’s nice to read a book which has more emotional content other than sexual ones once in a while.Something that made me disappointed is the ending. I think it was abrupt and there were issues that didn’t have a closure as what I expected.

First of all when I saw the cover of this book- I recognized the picture as a picture on another book I had read- that is interesting to think they would use the same couple picture on two different books. Anyway, putting that aside, I liked the book- a school teacher finds out she has a father after her mother dies- He sends his step-son to meet her and arrange a meeting. She is taken back by the very attractive and well known man that has come to her door. Sparks fly and she tries to keep all of it in order as she meets her father and his family.

Another romance that follows the expected formula. The characters were well written.
