Cuando me leí la sinopsis del libro pensé, "bueno, quizás me llegué a sorprender, démosle una oportunidad". El libro no me defraudó del todo porque ya me había imaginado que no iba a ser tan diferente u original, sin embargo llegó a sorprenderme en varias ocasiones y, aunque estoy segura de que las cosas tuvieron que pasar como pasaron, en el fondo tuve una pequeña esperanza de que fuera diferente.Me molestó un poco la faceta homofóbica de Phil y aunque puedo entender que se sentía inseguro y que solo quería ganarse un poco de respeto de su padre (que, por cierto, no me pareció tan malo como Phil lo había hecho parecer), no me pareció del todo bien. Aunque me irritó mucho más que Margot aceptase después de haber sido insultada (yo, desde luego, no lo haría). ¿Y que de repente Margot pasase de ser una chica simple, aburrida y sin atractivo a un super sexy bombón que derrochaba hormonas? Me pareció ridículo, ¿y de la nada Phil se siente atraído por ella y se llega a enamorar de ella? Nope, Phil me pareció más superficial e infantil.Hubo muchos momentos en los que pensé en dejar la novela y no seguir leyéndola pero también hubo momentos en los que no podía parar de leer, en especial los momentos de Danny y Kate, ¿qué puedo decir? Me encantaron y me gustaría poder leer un pequeño spin off sobre ellos. Otro de los personajes que me encantó fue Devon.¿En general? Si quieres leer un libro cliché para pasar el tiempo y distraerte un rato este es un buen libro. Overall I really enjoyed this book, but felt like some of the storyline got rushed a little. Nothing was lost in the story, but think some of the relationships could have been defined more thoroughly, like with Ashley, the father, & even Margot's "friendship" with Kate, which had them blossoming into BFF's overnight. I establish connections relatively quickly, so I could buy it, but I'd have liked their friendship to have been developed a little more to add extra meat to the story. Beyond that I loved how she tied Kate & Danny into this story, I'm always happy for second & third books by favorite authors, but I always want to still follow the characters from the previous stories, & this gave me that opportunity. In fact, when I read about Danny & Kate in the synopsis I stopped reading & bought it that second! Keeping characters around is a sure fire way to get me to buy another book!!
