The Stormchasers was kind of a let down for me. The first part of the story was all about Karena searching for her mentally ill twin brother, Charles. She resorts to joining a stormchasing club because that is what Charles loved doing. The whole stormchasing aspect did nothing for me. I actually found it kind of boring. Then the story goes into their past; talking about their childhood, how Charles' illness effected their family and how a dramatic event burdened them well into their adult lives. Then it goes into their reunion after Karena locates Charles. I felt like the beginning of the story was building up to wonderful, amazing reunion. It didn't. Not for me, at least. I was disappointed. If you like weather, read this book. If you ever wanted to chase storms and didn't want to get out in them, read this book. If you are a twin and want to experience what it is like, read this book.I like weather. I chase storms off the front porch (no transportation). I am a twin.I was caught up in the vivid, fast paced writing of Ms. Blum and came to care for her characters and the personal storms they face. This is one of my favorite books that I've read and re-read. It is THAT good.Highly recommended.

Not nearly as good as Blum's book "Those Who Save Us. "
