Oh my god, where do I start?This just proves why you should get someone else to read anything you write and critique it. It's interesting, just to see how bad Star Wars could have turned out. With it's tale of a young princess on the run with a trainee Jedi as well as trade corporations, you can see elements of the prequel trilogy already in his mind.Some plot twists come from so far out of left field it's almost right field, motivations are vague, characters badly sketched out, and there are way too many of them running out!In other words, it's a terrible, badly written mess, but an interesting badly written mess non the less. This book was very interesting. For the most part the story is vastly different, but there are many interesting similarities as well. Elements of all three movies are contained in this single book, and their are names that were reused both for the classic and prequel trilogies.The artwork can be a bit disturbing sometimes. Sometimes the faces look like they are photographs that have been altered to look like they were drawn with stylized hair. Overall I like the art style, but still it proved a bit strange at times.
