About book The Sergeant (2014)

Stopped at 74%, I just could not take anymore of Logan. I think sex in a book is great but unfortunately I think that was all they did so it just got to be too much. The flip-flopping with Clay, nope no more either. I can say that I do not understand the whole D/s lifestyle but I do know it's not for me. I think if I read were Logan told Clay to go get him another glass of water I was going to scream. This book was not bad but it was not great either- I'm going to stick with it was Ok just not something I could finish. Sometimes you click with characters and sometimes you don't and I never got there with either of them. Could never actually get a mental picture of either of them I’m still torn about this book. The sex is hot. The premise is interesting-D/s BDSM Texas SWAT team men. Forbidden love. M/M.Yet it never really came together for me. Clay is bi-never been in a long-term relationship. Logan is gay, yet also no long-term romance. His attraction to Clay has been brewing and is about to boil over. The first 20% had me. Lots of tension, angst and steam. Then meh. Became repetitive and almost silly in the back and forth. These are grown men, with people’s lives in their hands yet they are unable to COMMUNICATE with each other. Very frustrating.I don’t claim to be an expert on D/s BDSM society but I’d like to think there would more of an introduction and induction into the life. Clay was left floundering and afraid. Not cool. No wonder he ran.Overall an interesting read with some drama and lots of intense moments. Went longer than necessary and had a few too many repetitive scenes/dialogue.
