The Seekers continues to introduce us to the world of Watchers and Seekers, this time taking place in New Orleans a hotbed of activity. Lynnie Purcell did an excellent jobs of bringing new characters into the story without pulling away from the original ones. It was nice to be introduced to more Watchers and Seekers and get a feel for the different powers, opinions and motivations for the different groups. When Claire and Alex ended up on their own it was lovely to see them take care of themselves and keep investigating, instead of falling apart and becoming unable to function. The way they interact with and care for each other is perfect.My only problem with The Seekers was Claire's attitude towards Daniel in the last 1/4 or so of the book. Despite her experiences with him, including being in his memories, she more than happily believes what Serenity tells her. She even takes the time to tell Serenity that she knows Serenity plays games and that she has no time for them yet she happily walks right into one. For someone who is wary of Seekers she seemed pretty eager to believe what she was being told by one that was essentially and stranger and that she disliked.The Seekers was a good book. If it wasn't for my personal reaction to Claire for the last bit of the book I would have given it a higher rating. Anyone giving it 4 or 5 stars isn't lying to you. It's an excellent read that brought in more likeable characters and started showing us even more danger in this world. This is the second book in the watchers series. Clare who knows a lot more about the world of half-angels, the war, she finds out more about the seekers and her power. She wants to know why Marcus goes through such lengths to capture her. Whats so important about her? She goes to New Orleans on a mission and wont stop until she succeeds.This book was full of action and details. I could picture a lot of the scenes on my head. It is like a mystery in some way. She is trying to solve the mystery. In the process, discovers some truths, she never would have known.
