My first book of Preeti Shenoy , And i am already looking forward to read the next one. I simply loved her writing , so well expressed and still simple feelings you easily connect to . I read this book over the weekend , and though my weekend was completely planned with events ,i still could not keep the book down. Diksha the protagonist of the book could be any girl , you ( in case you are a girl) or me. Her desires and feelings are very down to earth and simple . All she wants is her parents and husbands love and care . Though soft and vulnerable from outside. Diksha is a very strong person , she knows what she wants , but like any girl keeps her family her first priority. Diksha's small and simple wish list ( except the last wish ;) ) changes her life and breaks the shackles of her unsatisfying marriage. Inside everyone of us is this wish list waiting to be fulfilled.The characters in the book are so beautifully woven and real , that you develop a longing to keep on reading more ( even after the book is long over). The secret wish list is one book you should not miss reading . It is totally worth the time . So if you are yet to read it , grab your copy now ! I will go make my secret wish list :) who knows it might change my life too. Preeti shenoy had done a commendable job in every single book of her's and this book is no different. The character of diksha is a perfect portrayal of a suppressed Indian women who want to break free. Sandeep, her husband is a character who is bound to be hated. The other important characters Ankit, Tanu and Vibha are also very good.The story is based on a very serious topic and the author has handle it perfectly. It's definitely worth reading. Dont expect much from the book !! I read it and there was nothing in it that I enjoyed or hated .
