I thought it was a silly little thing, perfect for a brainless summer read. Sometimes I don't want intricate plots and I can enjoy something more predictable and cheesy. This fit the bill! The writing isn't bad though: I really liked how scenes were depicted, most of the vocabulary... It's just the plot that's really "well duh" and not surprising at all. And definitely be prepared for some cheesy statements. Especially the main character, my goodness, she's such a Mary Sue! And it doesn't change, ever, she'll always remain so "good" and sweet and unaware of everything, it's ludicrous. But yeah, I did suspect as much going into the story, so I was not put off by it. Well, not too much anyways. If you're looking for a couple of hours of cheesy fun, nothing serious, just something to do while you're working on your tan... Then this is the book for you! :-) Talk about an emotional roller coaster! What a pleasant surprise to find this slightly different twist in this genre! From the beginning, Ari proves to be fascinating character to watch! We have all thought at one time or another that we just can't seem to find "Mr. Right"-then, one day, there he is. Oh yeah, then you find yourself caught in a struggle to control the world, you have special "powers" and are reminded that you have the best friends a girl could ever have! This series has been recommended and read by several friends, as well as family!! A fantastic YA read with great dialogue, twists and characters!
Do You like book The Secret Trinity: Unearth (2012)?
I liked the book, but I got tired of some of the dumb decisions she makes.
