About book The Secret Life Of A Submissive: A True Story (2012)
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Regardless of the eroticism that is, needless to say, a main theme throughout the book, this book is also an excellent example of starting over, trying new things, and being brave enough to become who you truly are. I thought that this book was very insightful into BDSM relationships and gives a much more realistic story than the notorious Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. I highly recommend this book to any psych majors, sociology majors, or those interested in this type of lifestyle. You know sometimes you pick up a book and then a few hours later you have no idea how you made the dinner but you know you were reading as you did so... and then you have to force yourself to go to sleep, and then you deliberately slow down your reading pace so you don't get too the end too quickly?This is one of those books.Bearing in mind it took me weeks to read my last book, this was a 2 day number and that was only because I saved the end of it for the second day.I don't believe in spoilers but what I will say is this book is very well written by a clearly very talented author and it is also very hot (scorching). And it was pretty sad in a way that I liked as I'm not really a big fan of books where everything falls into place neatly in a manner that you rarely experience in real life.I'm looking forward to reading more by Sarah K.
