Do you want to read a book that has mystery and suspense In it?If so this is a perfect book for you that will have you on the edge on your seat. This is a historical fiction called "Romeo and Juliet Code". *** Spoiler Alert *** This a very interesting book because you will find out that Flissy (Juliet) father may or not be her father. ***Spoil Alert***The book is about a young twelve year old girl named Flissy who lives with her family members in BottleBay which takes place in 1942.The conflict of the story is that Flissy father is not her father and she finds that out by getting these letters which are supposed to be written by her father while she is with her uncle and aunt but when she finds out that the letters match the writing of her uncle Danny she comes to a conclusion that he might be her real father. The type of conflict in this book is person vs. self and the reason is that Flissy goes through a problem involving her father and she is trying to over come her emotions that father is not her father and she has been living a lie for her whole life but at the end she decides to for give her real dad and create a bond with him. The reason why the book is called Romeo and Juliet code is because Juliet is really Flissy and Romeo is her father Danny and its called code cause Flissy gets these letters which am guessing are the code to finding out who her father is. But the book is very different from Romeo and Juliet because it's about their bond even though they went through rough problems Flissy and her father decided to forgive one and another.I was very surprised to hear that Flissy decided to forgive her real father even though she has been living a lie her whole life. My favorite part about the story is when Flissy all ready comes to a conclusion that her father is not her father and her conclusion was right to me that is very rare for you to get something automatically and you be right. The only thing I disagree with is that Flissy had to over come emotions by herself so she cant talk to her father or her mother, if I was the author I would have wrote it a little bit different I would have wrote that her mother told her that her father is not her father other than Flissy having to find out herself and when she finds out she could talk to her mother more about it better then dealing with her problems by herself other than that I loved the story it had very good details in it in every page it kept me wondering what was going to happen next.I rate this book a 4 because it was very interesting and had great details and has a perfect ending, all satisfied me but the reason why I didn't give it a 5 was because they could have been a little bit more changes to make it more interesting and you see what changes I am talking about in my review paragraph 4 other than that I loved the book and I would recommend it to anybody who loves mystery books like I do. And I also wish that instead of Flissy forgiving her dad Danny so quickly I wish that the ending said that she still has to think about it and they would make another book saying whether she forgave him or not but that is just what I think, I think that the book was just perfect like it is but that is just one of my suggestions. Eleven-year-old Felicity Bathburn Budwig, her parents, and her stuffed bear, Winnie, sail from England across the Atlanic Ocean to Bottlebay, Maine where Felicity will stay with relatives, on her father's side, she has never met before. She'll stay in Maine for the duration of the war, for her own safety, while her glamorous parents return to England. There are so many secrets in the large house. Why does The Gram not like Felicity's mother? Why does Uncle Gideon forbid anyone to touch the piano which he has nailed shut and why is he feuding with her father? Why does Aunt Miami dwell on the play, Romeo and Juliet; and who is Captain Derek that hides in his room? Felicity, who's now nicknamed Flissy, discovers Captain Derek is not a sea captain, but a boy, a little older than herself who won't come out because polio has left him with a useless arm. In shades of The Secret Garden, Flissy helps Derek emerge and take part in the family; and together they embark on a quest to see what's inside the secretive letters, sent from Europe to Uncle Gideon, and they work to unravel the secret Romeo and Juliet codes contained in them.I savored the language and the writing style of the author as much as a high English tea.
