I started reading this book last night and I was shocked that so far it ain't bad! I was so bored by book one that I gave up on this series altogether. Hmmm, if the rest of this book is passable enough I think I'll go back and try book one again.Update: Sky is obnoxious. His wife cheated on him, so now he punches people in the face, shoots them in the leg, and is an arrogant, insufferable, condescending jerkface. But to be fair, I did like the first part of the book. When he wasn't in it. It's foreshadowed that he will stop being a jerkface, but I don't care to see how his personal journey ends up. Also, ladies of the wagon train, listen up: the Reverend needed to be pitched out into the Platte at the first opportunity. And yet, there he was in Oregon City. Wazzup?!
