This is the first book that I have read about Ella Daniels & Micha Scott and a novella that got me intrigued to wanting to read more about this couples story. Best friends since they were kids who make a pack to leave their hometown together to create a life outside the struggling lifestyles with their family. However, that planned all changed till one tragic event affected everything. A prelude that gave me an inside look of the thoughts of both characters and their reactions and feelings that become to form more intensely about each other but were left unsaid. This 4 stars read got me looking forward to continuing reading more of this series. We should have had this novella with the main Ella and Micha book or before, but now is also good. Better late than never kinda. I feel so much for Micha in this book, and here Ella is not so broken, but the ground work was set in this book. Her parents and brother are all so messed up, and they want to drag her right along with them. Micha has always been her anchor, and this is when am thankful I know already they ended up together, but Ella did put Micha through a wringer. Anyways 'all is well that ends well'.
