I read this book with my 9-year-old son, and we both really enjoyed it! While the Odd Squad has the same cartoon sketch style as Diary of a Wimpy Kid, their characters diverge quite a bit. Nick, unlike DOWK's Gregg, does not have siblings or a best friend. He lives at home with his mother and grandmother and is essentially friendless. His school's guidance counselor brings him in with Molly and Karl, two other outcasts, and her "solution" to their problem is that Molly & Nick join Karl as members of the Safety Patrol.Of course, the three of them have difficulties with Roy, the school bully, and much of the book centers on their desire to "gather intelligence" on and fend off the school bully. They have help along the way from Mr. Dupree, the school's eccentric janitor who tells the Safety Patrol that he was once a spy and offers training and advice for their bully problem.The Odd Squad: Bully Bait manages to capture a more complete depiction of the main characters than many of the books I've read in this genre. The issues are tackled in an even-handed, subtle way, and the jokes are amusing to parent and child. This book is called the Odd Squad , The Bully Bait ny Micheal Fry. This book is good for people my age 10-13 it talks about wha you could do whaen you get bullied but inn a story. There are these three people and they are od and they work for bully provention and one is really tall, one is really short, and one is really like in the middle and they all gat bullied. But there is thius one day were they stand up for them selfs to the bully and they make a diferensce in the school.

Breaks no new ground, but upper elementary and tween fans of wimp type books will find it appealing.
