Easy read, nice plot. Hard to put away. Of course (after many of these books) the plot was somewhat predictable. But this is not the genre you should be reading if you are after astonishing story lines. That being said, i loved the book. The way Zoe makes friends with the kids, the neighbouring nanny's and eventually with the father/employer was great to read. The emailing mother from Liverpool was a nice touch. Definitely a recommand for those who like books like this This is another engaging read from Jane Costello, easy to lose oneself in, the short, sharp chapters simply urging you to read on. I liked the change of setting from Liverpool to Boston; the little things about home that Zoe missed, the frightening prospect of being in a completely different country on your own, and how she found her little clique of British nannies to hang out with. As with all Costello's books, there's lots of humour and laughs; though the nature of the story this time allows a nice blend of more poignant moments as well. There are a few interesting twists along the way, though overall the story is pretty predictable; however its told so well that it doesn't particularly matter. Overall a great escapist read; perfect for a rainy day.
Do You like book The Nearly Weds (2000)?
Eh, it was okay. Funny in some parts but not nearly as good as I would've hoped!
